Counselling

‘It is extremely important for you to believe in yourselves, not only for what you are now, but for what you have the power to become’.      Neal A. Maxwell

Counselling is a process whereby the client and counsellor work together to help clarify and address problems, as well as enhancing wellbeing. It can sometimes be difficult to share our inner feelings and emotions with our friends or family, and this is when counselling may help.

Talking things through with someone neutral, who is disconnected from other areas of your life can be extremely helpful, and is often the start of things becoming clearer, thereby bringing about positive change. Working together with a professionally trained counsellor will provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental setting, allowing you to safely share and explore any feelings, worries and difficulties you may have.

During counselling you will not be given advice on what you should do or how you should be, instead you will be guided in order to find the solutions within yourself. People seek counselling for a variety of reasons which may include depression, anxiety, and bereavement; others may be dissatisfied with the way life is, without being able to identity a particular problem. Counselling usually takes place at the same time and place each week; however the number of sessions required will differ from one person to another however this will be reviewed on a regular basis.
